Your information

Website privacy

This notice explains how personal information is used when you visit this website, enquire about coaching or choose to subscribe to the newsletter.

Chris Crowder Golf Academy is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For privacy enquiries, contact chrispga@hotmail.com.

Coaching enquiries

When you phone or email us, we use the contact details and information you provide to answer your enquiry and arrange coaching. Booking links open your phone or email application; there is no booking form, payment service or subscriber database on this website. Please do not send payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

For requests to arrange coaching, we rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract where applicable. For other enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering messages about the academy.

Email is handled through Microsoft’s Hotmail service. Read Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Where information is kept

Email enquiries are managed in the academy’s Hotmail mailbox. Newsletter registration information is held in Mailchimp, not in this website’s database or repository. There is currently no fixed deletion schedule for either.

You can unsubscribe using the link in newsletter emails. Unsubscribing stops newsletter emails; it does not necessarily delete all subscription records. You can contact us with a request concerning your personal information.

Newsletter signup

The embedded newsletter form sends your email address directly to Mailchimp when you select Subscribe. Our website server does not receive or store your submission. No Mailchimp scripts or stylesheets are loaded, and the form does not contact Mailchimp before you submit it.

Mailchimp opens the signup result in a new tab and handles acceptance, errors and any confirmation requirements. Follow its instructions, including any email confirmation it requests. Use the unsubscribe link in newsletter emails to leave the list.

Newsletter subscriptions are optional and based on your consent. The details you provide through the form are used to manage your subscription and send golf news, coaching tips and academy updates. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Read the Mailchimp provider’s privacy statement.

Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics loads automatically on the production website. It helps us understand visits, pages viewed and how people use the site. Google receives usage and technical information, such as browser/device details and your IP address as part of the connection, and uses cookies to distinguish visits. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in our tag configuration.

This website does not display an analytics consent banner or provide an on-site analytics preference control. Browser privacy tools may block analytics; blocking cookies alone may not prevent requests to Google. Preview domains do not send analytics. With JavaScript disabled, analytics stays off.

Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days; Google’s retention of collected reports/data depends on the property’s settings and is not established by that cookie lifetime.

Page-view URLs sent by this tag omit query strings and fragments. Do not submit sensitive information through website URLs. The previous WordPress Stats and Bilmur scripts have not been carried over. Read Google’s privacy policy.

Videos and other websites

Historical newsletters include YouTube videos. No YouTube player or remote thumbnail loads until you choose “Load video” for that individual video. Loading connects to YouTube (Google), sharing information such as your IP address, and uses its privacy-enhanced player. This does not mean that playback is anonymous or cookie-free.

Your choice applies only to that video on that visit. It is not saved or applied to other videos. With JavaScript disabled, use the external “Watch on YouTube” link instead. Read Google’s privacy policy.

Social and video-watch links open other websites only when you follow them. The newsletter form contacts Mailchimp only when you submit it. Those providers receive your request and may use their own cookies under their own privacy information. This website’s newsletter form and provider-privacy links do not send a referrer.

Hosting and service providers

Cloudflare Pages hosts this website. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL and browser or device information, to deliver and secure the site. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website for this delivery and security processing.

Cloudflare, Microsoft, Mailchimp and Google may process information outside the UK. Their privacy information describes their processing, retention and international-transfer arrangements. Retention of technical information depends on the provider, service and applicable settings; this notice does not promise a fixed deletion period for provider logs. Contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your data.

Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Microsoft, Mailchimp and Google privacy links are provided in the relevant sections above.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions.

To make a request or raise a privacy concern, email chrispga@hotmail.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
